Easter Goodies!!!!

I love the D.I.  This is the first time in quite a while I have bought new clothes specifically for Easter for anyone in my family.  And I scored big time!

Allen's Mom made Mollie the cutest Easter dress ever!  I love blue for Easter!  She also bought yellow shoes and is sending them in the mail, so I decided to stick with the blue and yellow theme for everyone.

Mollie's sweet Easter dress from Nana.  With a yellow
flower clip and yellow shoes!
I got four different 100% silk ties so I can dye Easter eggs with them, like in this picture:

I've never done it before, but it looks pretty easy.  Here is a link for everyone with step-by-step instructions.

4 silk ties, $1 each
Truman has outgrown size 14!!!  He has been high-watering in his
size 14 jeans since January, so I bought him two pairs of size 16s
One for $4 and one for $6.  Wretched giant.  He is 5'4" right now.
New Monument-brand Sunday slacks for Truman
(belt included) $6, Aeropostale dress shirt: $3,
Ralph Lauren tie: $2 (I made Allen tie it for this
picture :)--I should really learn how to do a
Windsor  knot some day)
Dress shirt for Brig: $4, clip on tie: $1
Dress shirt for Calvin: $3, clip-on tie: $1

I saved the best for last!!!  I have been wanting a
goldenrod cardigan forever and I finally found one!!!
A steal at $5.  Then I got a fitted white peasant top
for $3 and that ADORBS blue skirt for $5
$13 for a new Easter Sunday outfit!
I just hope I can take in the skirt successfully.  It's a size 22W--I have it folded in half in this picture :).  But it should be an easy straight seam to fix it.  I hope.

  1. I would love to be peeking in your window while you take pictures from the sky...maybe I'll call Derald and go visit sometime. Can't wait to see you in that lovely outfit, but what about Allen?

  2. Real funny, Bren! I made sure my curtains were closed. :)

Allen already has a fancy blue dress shirt--I don't think I could have found a better one at the D.I. But I should have looked for Sunday slacks for him--his have seen better days.

You don't need I.D.--you just need D.I.
