Goodies from Poky

I had a great visit to the Pocatello DI two days ago when I hitched up the team and headed to town to get some supplies. Of course, I found some books. I love the Poky DI because their book prices can't be beat: all children's picture books are only TWENTY-FIVE CENTS! Mollie's new favorite book is that Skippyjon Jones board book. The young adult books are only 50 cents.

I also found some good toys for my kids. I admit, this does not always happen, and there have been several toys that I purchased at DI only to bury deep in the garbage can a few days later. The odds of finding a Galactic Heroes storm trooper that we do not already have are miniscule . . . so I guess I was mentally "putting it out there."

My favorite find was new shoes for Truman, whose feet grow an inch every three months. He loves them, and they look so stylin'.

I got this resin owl several months ago at Saver's in Ogden--I've been meaning to put it up forever. Eat your heart out, Hanna (I admit, I copied your idea and put my bookmarks in it).

To celebrate my goodies, I went to the lumber store here in SS and bought some 1x6's to build a young adult bookshelf in my book nook. Not only was the wood inexpensive, it was a better quality than I have EVER bought at Lowe's, and the guy working there cut all of the boards to the exact size I needed. All I did was come home and put it together--no sawing!

I looked over my books and discovered that there are only six Junie B Jones books that I don't have, and I would like your help to get them. They are: Junie B. Jones and That Meanie Jim's Birthday; Junie B. Jones Has a Monster Under Her Bed; Junie B. Jones Is a Party Animal; Junie B. Jones is a Graduation Girl; Junie B. Jones, First Grader: Boo!(and I Mean It!); Junie B. Jones, First Grader: Jingle Bells, Batman Smells (PS, so does May). I have an extra copy of Toothless Wonder, if someone wants it.

  2. Becca, I might have a few of those Junie B. Jones books. Sorry, I'm blog stalking again. Anyway, they are just sitting in a box in my basement. I'll write the titles down and look for you. If I have them, I could probably mail them to you. My Kayla is too old for them now and I have boys younger, so we probably won't use them again. If I have them, they are yours! Casie

You don't need I.D.--you just need D.I.
